Upset Victory in $60,00 Kubota Cup in Collingwood

COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO A 25-year-old rookie logged her first-ever grand prix win today, defeating some of the hottest riders and horses on the Canadian circuit in the $60,000 Kubota Cup in Collingwood. Carley Campbell-Cooper, of Elora, Ontario, on Rocca jumped-off for the victory against yesterday's $50,000 grand prix winner and eight-time Olympian, Ian Millar on Redefin. Also in the tie-breaker was Alberta native and long-time U.S. resident Darrin Dlin on Catwalk who have returned to Canada for this season. That combination has been the winner of two World Cup Qualifiers in the last six weeks. Amy Millar, of Perth, Ontario, on Costa Rica Z was also in the race, following a second-place finish in yesterday's grand prix and in the heat of a outstanding season. Rounding out the five-way tie-breaker was another rookie, 28-year-old Hyde Moffat, of Brantford, Ontario, on Denver.
Ian Millar Wins $50,000 Miele Grand Prix at Collingwood Horse Show

Collingwood, Ontario --- Eight-time Olympian Ian Millar of Perth, ON, won the $50,000 Miele Grand Prix on Saturday, August 18, at the Collingwood Horse Show in Collingwood, ON.
In his first competition back on Canadian soil since winning a Team Silver Medal and placing fourth individually at last month's Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Millar emerged victorious over a 35-horse starting field. Course designer Guilherme Jorge of Brazil, who had also laid the tracks at the 2007 Pan American Games, set a challenging course that saw 10 horses advance to the jump-off.
Kubota Cup Eastern Conference Converges on Collingwood

COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO The eastern conference of the Kubota Cup national show jumping series descends on Collingwood, Ontario this Sunday, August 19. It will mark the second of three stops in the eastern portion of qualifying for the Kubota Cup National Final at the Royal Winter Fair, in Toronto in November. Western conference qualifying concluded in Richmond, B.C. last weekend.

Two-Week Collingwood Horse Show Continues in Collingwood for 2007
Collingwood, Ontario --- Originally scheduled to move to its new location at Thornbury Horse Park in 2007, the two-week Collingwood Horse Show has announced that it will remain in Collingwood, ON, for its 21st anniversary.
The Collingwood Horse Show features the 'Collingwood Festival' from August 8-12 and the 'Kubota Collingwood Classic' from August 15-19 and attracts international-calibre show jumping competitors including Olympic, World Championship and Pan American Games veterans.

February 13, 2007 For Immediate Release Thornbury Horse Park Becomes a Reality for Collingwood Horse Shows
Thornbury, Ontario --- Thornbury Horse Park in the Town of Blue Mountains, near the resort destination of Collingwood, ON, will be the new home of the Collingwood Horse Shows.
Having celebrated its 21st anniversary and final year in Collingwood in 2007, the Collingwood Horse Shows will be held in its new location in 2008 thanks to the Town's final approval of the master plan of Thornbury Horse Park. The 250-acre equestrian community will be unique in that it will offer a state-of-the-art horse facility combined with residential condominiums as well as club amenities under one management and ownership umbrella.
